Check out the impact that Team CCB is having across the KC Metro! Helping our community is an opportunity to grow as a person, enrich the lives of others and yourself. Your actions make a huge difference in the lives of those around you! Take a look below at what is going on around town:
VTO : Giving the Basics
Another successful VTO opportunity offered by Team Impact. This time our associates spent their day volunteering at Giving the Basics who's mission is to provide the necessities of life, not covered by government assistance programs, that most people take for granted such as laundry soap, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper and other personal care hygiene products.
Thank you to our volunteers: Sherri Parsons, Tracy Mitchem, Madison Sands, Kim Thornton, Kristen Altoro, and Hallie Rogers
"We all learned so much on Tuesday, and we had so much fun giving back! Coming from different regions (Belton, Raymore, 1WP, Hallbrook, and Lee’s Summit) and personal backgrounds, it was an amazing feeling to know that we made a difference that affects the entire metro by sorting and packing basic hygiene products for the community. I highly recommend taking time to watch this video link to learn more about Giving the Basics and what they’re doing for our community and keep your eyes peeled for more opportunities with this organization and others like it through Team Impact."
Thank you CCB!
CCB is proud to support our local organizations that work to better our communities each and every day. Below is a post from the Lansing Educational Foundation which works to enhance the excellence in the learning environment in partnership with the schools and the community.
CCB's Dan Medina (Staff Sgt.) Recognized at Chiefs AFC Championship!
At the beginning of 2020, I.T. Help Desk Manager Dan Medina left on an 11-month deployment with the National Guard to the Middle East. We gave him a warm CCB send-off with well-wishes for a safe return home, and Dan was given a very special medal to return to Paul Thompson once he was back.
We are happy to share that not only is Dan back safe and stateside, he was honored during the AFC Championship game last night as the DiPardo Spirit Leader, where he beat the drum in the third quarter. We are looking forward to having Dan back at CCB soon!

CCB Casual Friday Donations - Thank you from Hope Kids
“Thank you to you and Country Club Bank for your generous donation from June’s Casual Fridays! We appreciate your support of Hope Kids Kansas City! With your help we are serving over 400 families that have a child with a life-threatening medical condition with 25 virtual and in-person events per month! With gratitude – Kristin Castle”
You may remember that Hope Kids KC provides events and activities for families with the goal of providing HOPE and an outlet to relieve the emotional, mental, physical stress that comes along with having a family member (a child) who is suffering from a life-threatening disease. From their website: Each year in the United States, approximately 500,000 children cope with life-threatening medical conditions. These conditions affect the entire family with more than half of parents suffering from acute stress disorders and 80% of siblings having elevated levels of posttraumatic stress. In addition, illnesses contribute to over 62% of bankruptcy filings each year. More than $800 million is spent on medical research annually to find cures for cancer or other diseases, but these families need support now. Numerous studies show that hope can increase one’s overall ability to cope and that familial support in chronically ill children is vital. HopeKids understands we are not a cure for these illnesses, but we believe HOPE IS A POWERFUL MEDICINE.
"WOW! I don’t know about you guys, but it sure feels nice to be a part of CCB’s impact in the community! Thank you all for all you have done and continue to do as members of Team Impact! " - Alisha Thompson
Did you know that 61 percent of America’s low-income children are growing up in homes without books? This puts low-income students at a severe disadvantage for school success. To help our students read at home this summer, Lead to Read KC is partnering with Rainy Day Books for a virtual book drive.
By participating in the book drive, you will help build home libraries for students who may not otherwise own books — and support Kansas City’s acclaimed local bookseller during this challenging retail climate.
Our curated book list includes many titles with culturally diverse characters, which makes them especially appealing to the students Lead to Read KC serves. All books on the list are appropriate for first, second or third grade students.
