Corporate Challenge 2021 : CCB is the team to beat!

KC Corporate Challenge time has arrived and we are cheering on all of our athletes as they compete in the 2021 games. Check back here for weekly updates on who is participating and the weekly results!

 

IMPORTANT KCCC EVENT UPDATES

  • NEED ONE MALE PLAYER FOR BOWLING!

    • We are in need of 1 guy for the Coed Bowling Team on June 17 at Noon. If you have signed up for KCCC, please reach out to Derrica Williams or Tai Le to fill the spot ASAP!

 

KCCC Update - May 11

#TeamCCB has been busy the past month! We have completed Golf, Tennis, Biking, Pickleball, the punt-pass-kick competition, horseshoes, fishing, 5K, softball, pool and darts! See below for the results!


Men's Golf

Over the weekend Andrew Ellner and Brad Hobus dusted off their clubs and competed in the Men's Golf Tournament. The highlight of the tournament was their near hole-in-one!


Great job guys and way to represent #TeamCCB!




Tennis

Daniella McKim served up some serious competition in the KCCC tennis tournament. She was narrowly defeated by the gold medal winner, earning CCB more coveted points.


Congrats to our ace, Daniella!













Bike Race

Congrats to the four CCB speedsters who pedaled their hearts out and placed front of the pack! Here are the results of the three mile race:

6th place - Megan Eisenhauer - 10:17

7th place - Margeaux Seymour - 11:10

10th place - Frank McCarthy - 10:21

13th place - Dean Lanier - 12:04

5K

Our 5k runners were running for GOLD this year, and Linda Cole did just that! Linda brought home the gold with a time of 29:09. Janet Rickard placed 11th with 45:10, Hallie Rogers placed 31st with a time of 36:10, Dail Blake placed 35th with a time of 31:24, Alex Lee and Becca Raney placed 45th with times of 38:51 and 47:56, and Stacy McDannald placed 48th with a time of 53:33! Way to go runners!


Softball

Team CCB took the KCCC softball tournament by storm, and earned us points at an early game! The team was composed of: Aaron Bushell, Jon Mustapich, Brittney Walker, Chandler Coon, Scott Myers, Rachel Rossel, Lorrie Lilleman, Karen Byers Jones, Daniella McKim, Brady Forbes, and led by the fearless coach Mary Taylor! Way to knock in some runs and earn us points!



Darts & Pool

Brad "Bullseye" Hobus held down the team earning 5th place in darts, and pocketed us points in pool! Way to go Brad!


Pickleball

Last weekend Team CCB paddled their way to 5th place with their co-ed doubles team and earned points in both the women's and men's doubles. Congratulations to Mary Taylor, PJ Thompson, Sheri Cuda, Patty Weidmaier, Kevin Miller and Kevin Easterday!



Punt, Pass and Kick Competition

Margeaux Seymour punted, passed and kicked Team CCB, earning some points this last weekend!

















Horseshoes

Daniella "The Ringer" McKim threw to 5th place in KCCC horseshoes. Look at the determination and focus in her gaze in this action shot!



















Fishing

Congrats to Sammie Sprague on outfishing the competition and scoring team CCB points!

Women's Disc Golf Ace First Competition Points!

The KC Corporate Challenge games have begun!


Disc Golf Duo, Daniella McKim & Carly Mayfield slid in the mud and scored CCB's first competition points on the course this last weekend! Taking 8th place in Division B, with a score of 94!


The next event is the Bike Race at the Kansas Speedway this Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 4:30pm! Good luck to our next round of participants, may the wind be ever in your favor and in the words of Albert Einstein, “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.”

Corporate Challenge shirts have arrived!


These shirts are being delivered Monday, April 12 to the financial center where you normally office. This shirt design won honorable mention in the KCCC design contest this year!

For those at 1WP: Your shirt is available for pick up at the front desk!

The 1-Mile Walk has gone virtual!


Don’t miss out on your team’s opportunity to earn the first points of the season. The 1-mile walk can be completed any time this week, April 5 – 9, 2021.


Make sure you email Derrica Williams when you participate, and for added fun, make sure this information is included:

  • where you walked

  • share a photo of you and your family or pet walking or something you discovered on your walk
