The New Year provides a fresh slate of new ways to volunteer and help your fellow Kansas Citians.
As we flip the calendar to 2025, every CCB associate starts fresh with a full 8 hours of Volunteer Time Off (VTO). Each month, Team Impact will organize community volunteer opportunities that you can sign up for.
Let's get the year off to a good start by signing up to serve at ProDeo Youth Center! Be on the lookout for additional opportunities soon!
ProDeo Youth Center | January 15| 3-5 pm | 214 NE Chipman Rd, Lee's Summit, MO 64063
ProDeo Youth Center was established when Kylie and Andy Ewing realized there was a strong need in the community for a safe place for teens to hang out after school and on the weekends. Many of the teens were also hungry, depressed, suicidal, feeling isolated, struggling in school, abused, homeless or had experienced traumatic events in their lives. Pro Deo helps meet these needs based on mentoring and relationship-building.
CCB volunteers will assist students with a DIY candle-making activity. Volunteers will help with melting wax, securing wicks, mixing scents, etc. All supplies and guidance on the activity will be provided.
