Hundreds of children in Belton, Harrisonville, Lee’s Summit, Raymore and Peculiar will feel warmer as winter temperatures set in, thanks to the generosity of CCB associates and their clients.
Working with 14 public schools (including Head Start programs), Southeast Regional President Bryan Mallory and his team launched the 17th annual Coats for Kids campaign. During September and October, the Southeast financial centers posted collection jars at their teller lines and worked towards specific internal fundraising goals.
A 1-week “Battle of the Branches” intensified the competition. The Raymore financial center raised $2,516.52 during the “battle” week, winning the contest and earning its associates a free PTO day.
Regionwide, a total of $13,546 was raised and 498 coats were donated, exceeding the 2021 goals of $12,000 in fundraising and 495 donated coats.
When CCB started its Coats for Kids campaign in 2005, we raised $1,732. Throughout the 17 years we have participated in the program, CCB has donated 4,703 coats and raised more than $103,552.
Thank you to all our CCB associates who participated in this year’s Coats for Kids campaign! Lots of warm, generous hearts means a lot of warm children this winter!
