Kindness Campaign Spotlight

2020 has been extraordinarily hard on people and a recent study revealed that nearly 2 out of 3 adults are suffering from anxiety or depression because of the pandemic. To help combat these feelings, CCB will be participating in the

“A single act of kindness throws our roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees.” –Amelia Earhart

In addition to daily emails, we have created this space designed as a place to share kudos of kindness among fellow CCB Associates. Studies show people who do acts of kindness release oxytocin in their brains – the chemical known to increase a person’s happiness and reduce stress. Following the release of oxytocin, two more chemicals are released – serotonin and dopamine, which have been found to lessen pain, depression, and anxiety.

The 30 days of daily reminders to choose kindness have been such a great way to start my work day off. Thank you all, Team CCB! I'm constantly inspired by the little things I hear and see throughout all of our locations - So proud to work at CCB with all of you!

If I tried to name names I would surely leave someone out as there are so many, so to all who stay kind and give patience to others in the midst of their own chaos, I see you, and I appreciate you. A special shout out to our amazing HR, IT, Loan Ops, and retail teammates, who help me to “keep it together” daily. And of course, our awesome Northwest Region, you all rock!

Being kind to each other is so important, especially now, while we're all going through this covid period. I especially appreciate the kindness of Lucas Walker, in Collateral Monitoring. I always learn a lot from the kids that work here but Lucas always takes the time to answer my questions and explain things so I understand the technical points of some of our processes. I appreciate him.

Being kind is doing things for others and doing things that aren't expected of you. I'd like the give a big shout out to Jon Mustapich for shoveling the drives and sidewalks at the Collee branch where he is working. And thanks to Shannon Powers for catching him in the act and taking a quick moment to share!

A quick shout out to DJ Ball and Donna Maybry from facilities for helping me with the wiring on the window heaters that is a ongoing project. Also a large thank you to DJ for assisting me with the north elevator new sump pump and to Donna Maybry for staying late and getting the north elevator ready for inspection. Our facilities group is putting in many hours to get things done so that when Covid takes its exit we will be ready for everyone's return.
