March VTO Opportunity

Swing into Spring by volunteering at the Community Gardens!

Kansas City Community Gardens | April 29 | 9am – Noon

We are looking for eight volunteers to assist with the Kansas City Community Gardens in partnership with the Giving Grove to work on the orchard at 6917 Kensington Ave, Kansas City, Missouri.

Volunteers will thin fruit on the trees, which helps with pest management without spraying the tree with chemicals. It also allows the remaining fruit to grow larger.

Volunteers should bring their own reusable water bottles, dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Parking is available alongside the fence on Kensington Ave.
