Trust Company Members Receive Accolades in Local Business Media

Mark Thompson and Alisha Thomson recognized as businesspeople readers should know.

Mark Thompson, Chairman of Country Club Trust Co., was recognized by Ingram’s magazine recently as one of “50 Kansans You Should Know.” The feature, which published in the March 2023 issue, spotlights highly accomplished and “colorful” residents who give the Sunflower State its unique flavor. Could Mark’s wife Amy being “Baby Jay,” the mini version of KU’s “Big Jay” mascot, during college have had anything to do with it? Maybe just a little. Mark’s business and nonprofit activities that have helped shape the direction of Northeastern Kansas and the greater Kansas City region were a major factor in his selection.

Alisha Thomson, Vice President and Wealth Strategist at Country Club Trust Co., was listed as one of the Kansas City Business Journal’s “20 to Know” in financial services. The “20 to Know” series introduces readers to people they should get to know in various industries and business categories. The financial services list appeared March 3. It cited Alisha’s career accomplishments, philanthropic work and 2022 selection to the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Centurions Leadership program.
