Two CCB Associates Start New Year With New Life Journeys

As we begin 2022, we say good-bye and good luck to two long-time Country Club Bank associates who are starting new chapters in their lives.

Susan Moore, Facilities Operations Specialist, at 1WP and Tereasa McVeigh, Assistant Vice President, Administrative Investment Officer for the Capital Markets Group in Oklahoma, will retire on January 31.

Susan Moore

Susan began her banking career in June 1966 when her sister helped her get a job filing checks for Merchants-Produce Bank. She’s been with Country Club Bank since February 2016.

Susan says she plans to start retirement life on the road. On February 15, she’ll hop into her niece’s 36-foot RV and head to a pad site she’s reserved in a 55+ community. She’ll enjoy that retreat until May 15. Then she’ll do a coast-to-coast swing visiting grandsons. First up is a flight to Seattle to visit one grandson and his wife. After arriving back in Kansas City, she’ll trade a plane for a car and drive to North Carolina to visit another grandson, who is stationed at Fort Bragg.

As she embarks on the next phase of her life’s journey, Susan shares these life lessons with her Country Club Bank associates: “Be positive and helpful. When life gives you lemons, make some lemonade. Don’t get caught up in the negative and every day. Find something good to say about the day and smile. Be friendly. Don’t ever say ‘it’s not my job.’ If you don’t know how to do something, be resourceful and find a way to get the job done.”

Tereasa McVeigh

Tereasa made her entrance into the world of banking in 1977, working as a teller at Admiral State Bank in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She had been working as the assistant branch manager for Bank of Oklahoma, Lewis Center, when she decided to accept an offer at Country Club Bank in 1992.

Tereasa enjoyed her time at Country Club Bank even more than she imagined she would. “When I started with CCB,” she said, “I was thinking it feels like a great place to work for six or seven years. It was a great place to work—but for 29 years!

Susan and Tereasa, thank you for your many years of service and your contributions to Country Club Bank. We wish you everything you hope for in your retirement years!
